We are proud to announce the launch of two critical projects by ActionAID DRC aimed at addressing the pressing needs of communities affected by armed violence and conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). These initiatives come at a crucial time when thousands are suffering, displaced, and in urgent need of assistance.

Project 1: Emergency Multi-Sectoral Assistance in Goma, North Kivu Province Funded by Startfund with a commitment of 20,000 GBP, this project targets Lushagala, Bulengo, Rusayo, and Nzulo displaced persons camps. Recent clashes between Fardc and M23 have left over 11,000 individuals without essential assistance in Sake and neighboring towns. We're stepping in to provide vital support, focusing on protection and multi-purpose cash assistance to 6,245 households. With an estimated 130,000 displaced people, our aim is to extend a helping hand to those who need it most.

Project 2: Multi-Sectoral Assistance and Shelter in Kirotshe ZS, Masisi Territory Thanks to the generous support from the Humanitarian Fund, with a funding commitment of 700,000 USD, ActionAID DRC is embarking on a mission to provide immediate relief to those in the North Kivu province. In Kirotshe health zone, the project will target to build 2,583 emergency shelters for 15,498 displaced people in Nzulo and Bweremana camps. Additionally, there will be distribution of 1,800 kits of essential household items and 1,265 dignity kits for women and girls of childbearing age. This project, titled "Multi-Sectoral Assistance and Shelter for People Affected by Violence in the Kirotshe ZS," aims to bring comfort and stability to those enduring the harsh realities of displacement.

ActionAID DRC is dedicated to serving humanity, we stand in solidarity with the resilient people of the DRC. Together, let's make a difference and provide hope to those who need it most. Join us in this noble cause.
